¬Wow!!! It is a great pleasure to be with CTC. After my first social visit with CTC, I enrolled myself for my first trek with Emperors. Wow!! I didn’t know that I’m going with cool, safe and most caring team. It was the first trek organized by Senthil & Emperor team whom we cannot forget forever. I couldn’t get a swimming tube which fits me after searching my nearby places. I called Senthil and informed him. He listened to me patiently and assured me that he will get one for me. We started our journey from Tidel Park where I first met Alekhya carrying chapattis. After few minutes of chatting, Barani arrived with his friends. I came to know how cool they are in the first meeting itself :-). I found that they carried extra swimming tubes and sleeping mates for freshers & Non-swimmers as they were well prepared for the trek. That was not all!!! There were a lot more to admire from them for which we all gave a loud applause. We started from there to join with all the trekkers who were waiting in Koyambedu. After collecting money and making some new friends we started our journey towards Nagala !!!

The journey took few hours during when everyone was excited and few were recollecting their past experiences. I build up a dream in my mind. We reached Nagala and parked our cars in the early morning. We prepared to start with the help of torch lights after collecting our food. Yahoo!! A dream is going to be explored!! We started from there towards 3rd pool with our torch lights. It was a great experience that I didn’t expect. I learned and joined with the team’s sounds. I shouted “Come on Guys”, “Fill the gap”, “Take care of the thorns”, etc. We reached the 3rd Pool when Sun light just started to lighten the place. Nagala 3rd pool was my learning spot throughout Trek!!

I was filled with Joy and couldn’t resist a dive. Barani blew a new swimming tube and gave it to me. I saw experienced swimmers diving into the deep water. I needed to cross water to join the swimmers. Arun who was one among the organizers told me to cross without jumping. But it was difficult for me to cross. So I asked few swimmers to stay with me and jumped into the water. I paid for it!!! My feet hit a rock in the water and I got a cut. It was my first learning. “ALWAYS LISTEN TO THE ORGANISERS”
As soon as they saw my injured feet they gave first aid and helped me to rest. We had Upma and Maggie and started our journey towards 5th Pool. We crossed streams, climbed up/down catching thorns, rolling stones, cracking jokes and sharing our fruits. Emperors were running up and down to help people, carrying few co-trekkers bags and making sure that no-body goes in wrong way. They understood freshers and didn’t push hard. We took rest in few places, had our biscuits, chocolates and continued. At last we arrived at 5th pool. We camped there and enjoyed our complete day there. We had chapattis, Maggie, biryani and good sleep.

When the sun started its journey, we started our journey towards 800 mtrs peek. It was magical when Shankar guided as sweeper and in minutes he was on top leading us. When we reached the top we had no words to describe it. It was awesome!!!  On the way back to 2nd pool my next learning was waiting. As I was cautious about my injury, I had kept myself away from water. When we came near 3rd pool I saw some co-trekkers sitting in the small stream. The water level was too low and I went to join them. But the slippery rocks led me to pool. As soon as Arun saw me falling, he jumped into the pool. Senthil followed him and jumped in. I tried hard to come up and took my first breath, for the second breath Arun and another person who was already swimming there lifted me and helped me to come out. That was really a quick rescue. After that incident I realized how safe I was with Emperors. Here is my next learning. “THINK THRICE BEFORE AND DON’T DO IT WITHOUT YOUR ORGANIZER’S KNOWLEDGE”
We took bath in 2nd pool, played with kids who came for the social trek with CTC and bid farewell. Thanks a lot for Emperors and CTC for giving this great & unforgettable experience. I hope to meet all of you in the feature treks.
