Hi CTC Friends,
Dear Friends,

We know on Diwali Day we went out for a CTC Social gathering with the respective homes. we were happy after making the people enjoyable over there for the Diwali Celebration. some say with picture or words. Here are some the picture and videos.

Thanks to Zeba who co-ordinated for the Anbu IIam, else i would have missed this opportunity, thinking the day is on 7 Nov. Fortunately Zeba called up and informed.

Thilak very much thanks.

Hi all,
It was a memorable diwali. Thank you Thilak for making such flawless arrangements. Special regards to Zeba, our leader at Anbu Illam. She kept the volunteers under control when the child in us took over while being around with so many kids. I always say this in all my posts in nabble, and i keep repeating it because most of the team i meet every time are total strangers to me, at the start. The best thing about CTC to me, more than trekking, is socializing. It's always a great experience to meet new people and spending almost a day together.

Anyways, getting back to the Diwali celebrations. I was overwhelmed right at the start, when a few kids who had identified me from the social trek on Oct 9th came running over to give me a hug and one of them asked 'How long are you going to stay here?...Are you staying here the whole day?' Though the 'Uncle', the kid said in-between unsettled me a bit. The intent and the love startled me. We gave them sweets and they gave us sweets too. The kids had prepared a hilarious play inspired from future CM Vijaykant's old movie. No doubts as to which one was better. We bought them Sweets and crackers. Tatha, the man, got them notebooks for Diwali. One of us got ladoos and Zeba got them a globe, both of which are round. It is just an innocent observation. We burst crackers with them and then left. Meanwhile, a minister had come to sponsor lunch for the kids. His bad, kids were playing with us and never paid any attention to him. Zeba decided that it was time to leave before he tracks us down to take revenge. After taking a couple of pics with the Minister's Benz, we left. Everyone, take a cue from Subash and please leave your mobile numbers at the bottom.

Pics from my camera http://picasaweb.google.com/maruvit/CTCDiwaliAnbuIllam#

Best wishes until we run into each other in one of the subsequent treks.

Maruthi

Hi all,

First of all i would like to thank Thilak for letting  me be a part of this wonderful venture where we went to Udavuam Nanbargal Illam on diwali morning. I was really filling up for a friend who couldn't be there cause of illness but i must say it was a time really well spent. One of my best diwali's so far.

It was great to burst crackers with the kids and play little badminton which i must say had been missing :)
The food was awesome and was made even better with everyone around.

This was my first stint with CTC and i didn't know anyone beforehand but didn't feel out of place at all. Hope to join you guys for more such events and treks.

Here are a few pics from my camera clicked that day:
